Corgi Reference Photos:

Hi I just got back from a run on the beach with the four wheelers with the grandkids.  Pippin is getting to be quite the four wheeler riding dog.  He rides with me and our lab rides with my husband Spek.  Is was a pretty day, the tide was coming in,  the breeze was barely blowing.
We still have snow about a foot but its leaving. Just thought you might enjoy the pictures.

Just a little update on Dexter (Jackson) He loves it up @ the lake. He is helping build the cabin. We love him, he's not rotten our anything ( :  Greg & I are thinking about a brother or sister for Dexter in the fall I will keep in touch.

Julie,

Thought I would drop you a photo of Dexter our Corgi we purchased from you in November, 2005. We are building a cabin in a remote part of Alaska, no road access, boat or snowmachine only. We’ve rigged a kennel on the back of our snowmachine for him to ride in. He absolutely loves it out there. Hope all is well. Happy Holidays

Jeanne, Julie and Darrell,

Hi there J  It’s been a while since I last emailed you so I thought I’d send you a few pictures (sorry about the white eyes) and let you know how things are going with Diego.  Diego is doing great.  The potty training finally started working about a month ago and he’s been doing great ever since.  We’ve started to figure each other out and we know his “signal” now.  He LOVES playing in the backyard and “talking” to all the neighborhood dogs.  Makes you wonder what they are saying……

He has finished the last of his puppy shots and did really well with all of them.  He’ll be neutered next month so that will be the last of the trips to the vet for a while.  We did try to switch him to the puppy Eukenuba by IAMS shortly after bringing him home since it is much easier to find but Diego’s tummy didn’t like it at all.  It’s so weird how it made him sick because when we had our Golden Retriever it did the exact same thing to him too.  So we’ll just keep him on the Diamond food for now.

He still likes to nip at us when we walk but he’s getting better at that.  He does have the idea embedded in his brain somewhere that the upstairs level of our house is also a NASCAR race track which is just a hoot to watch at night when he gets his second wind.  He has plenty of toys to play with but he rather enjoys Kayla’s baby toys and she likes to play with his too so we’ve decided that puppy toys and baby toys are the same thing in our house.

So things are going really well and he’s been such a joy J  He was 14 pounds a few weeks ago when he was in to see the vet but he just hops on the scale and hops right off so who knows if that is truly accurate – he sure feels heavier than 14 pounds!

Hope all is well with you there in Yankton.  We are going to be coming back for a weekend soon so we’ll try to stop by so you can see him in person if that works out for you.

Take Care,

Becky

Hello Darrell, Jeanne and Julie.

I wanted to send you a couple of pictures of Diego that I took the other day.  Gosh, he’s a pretty boy!  He’s doing fantastic.  He loves to play with the kids and he absolutely LOVES to play in the snow.  He runs around the yard and rolls around and just has a ball.  It’s very funny to watch when the snow is taller than his little legs are though.

He’s about 35 pounds now which sounds like a lot to me but he looks good.  The vet says that it is not uncommon for Corgi’s to weigh that much – especially males.  Kayla (our 18 month old daughter) is always in cahoots with Diego when she’s eating.  She loves to sneak him crackers and she also lets him lick her hands when she has crumbs on them – they are so sneaky those two.  I’ll try to get some pictures of Diego and the kids soon and will send you those as well.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Take care,

Becky

Hi, Jeanne and Julie ~

I'm sending along a few pictures of Roxy (Joy) for you! She's adapting very well, and has made fast friends with all. She's a great little puppy, and thank you for everything!

I took her for a vet check on Friday, and she's perfectly healthy, except for her eye that is tearing all the time. It's likely to be a blocked tear duct, but we'll see how she's doing when we go back for shots on Sept. 8th. If it's still going on, we'll be referred to the ophthalmologist for a consult. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,
Julie

Hello!

Thought you might enjoy seeing how Roxy is growing! She's quite the cutie!
Her eyes seem to be normal most of the time now, the tearing is infrequent. She goes to the vet on Friday for her shots, so I'll let you know how it goes.

Julie

Julie,

Hello, I was wondering when you might have another litter of corgis? My husband, Max and I were the ones in Nevada that purchased Maisie. She’s an absolute joy. I have attached a few pictures. We are hoping to get a male red/white corgi and would absolutely love to get him from your kennel.

Thank you for everything.

Sincerely,

Melissa

Hi,

I thought I would send you some pictures of Lainey. Yes,  we kept the name. It fits her. She is such a cutie and has been a good baby. She knows sit, speak and down so far and really loves everybody. Levi our Yorkie is not real thrilled as you can see in the one picture, he tolerates her but that is about all at this point. Lainey got to go on a big camping trip to the Black Hills and she had a blast. I think she is going to grow into a beautiful dog, but for now we are enjoying the puppy time. She keeps us entertained with her antics. We just love her and are so happy to have her. She is a great puppy.

Lainey is getting ready for Christmas. She is such a sweetie. She will be getting lots of new toys.  Hope you guys have a great holiday season.

Hi!
Just letting you all know that Fergee is doing great!  She has become the lady of the house and never steps foot outside without one of her coats during the winter.  My daughter also pointed out that Fergee had a larger coat selection then Lindsay had shoes...which is an amazing feat in its own right.  Fergee's adopted baby that she brought home has grown to full size and towers above her "Mom" but that still has not stopped Fergee from teaching her a few tricks.  They both now bow and "sit pretty" as well as work on their agility training together.  Ana is tall enough to get the toys out of the toy box so they can both play but we are still working on putting the toys away when they are done instead of hiding them in the couch.  She is such a delightful imp and a huge part of our lives.  I can't tell you thank you often enough.     Take care.... Tanya

Julie,

Thanks for being so careful with the puppy and her travels to Massachusetts.  She is wonderful and having a great time with our other animals.  Here are some photos of her from her first days here.

We love her, quite a  personality.

Thanks again

Hello Julie,

Our new puppy is doing fantastically.  We have named him Diego and he has already learned that is his name.  My husband likes to call him Little D.  He is sleeping through the night which I can assure you has delighted both of us.

Diego and I have a great time together during the day.  We bought a ball for him and he is starting to pick up on how to fetch it and bring it back, he is very smart.  When we go outside for short walks he greets everyone we pass on the street and they all comment on how adorable he is.  He has also made friends with a year old black lab named Kali that we see during our noon walks.  They just run and jump around each other, it's so cute.

I am sending along a recent picture of him and will keep you updated.

Thank you again,

Jennifer

Dear Julie, The puppy Manny we got from you last year has turned into a great dog. The only problem we have run into is his sudden deafness at certain commands. He loves living on our ranch and has shown a natural instinct on herding cows. It was so funny the first time he met our bulls, he did not know if he should chase them or protect me,(we were outside of the fence.) He turned tail and ran when one of the bulls snorted at him. The cows will walk up to him and let him lick their noses. We have a large rope for him to chew on and play tug a war with us. He almost got sent back when he killed a couple of my chickens, but we love him too much to do that. We had him nuetered because we never planned to breed him. Thank you so much for a fun loving dog. Hello Fairview Kennels-

Here's our the Christmas greeting card featuring our little ambassadors of
goodwill, Pickles and Peaches.

They are an unending source of entertainment. They are particularly fond of
games involving a racquetball; they never tire of chasing it and bringing it
back. Often times peaches walks around with the ball and drops it enticingly
to prompt us to play the game. If we throw it, and then run away when they
try to bring it back they go bananas  chasing us.  It's all great fun. I
recommend this game for all Corgi owners.

Merry Christmas!

Regards,
James and Julie

Hi Jeanne and Fairview Kennels-

As usual, Peaches and Pickles (our Fairview Corgis) were the pictorial stars
of the Christmas letter Julie and I sent out. I attached a few of the
pictures just for fun.

BTW we had wanted to get another Corgi but our local shelter was filled
beyond capacity and so we adopted one of the little abandoned creatures
instead.

Regards,
Jim & Julie

Hi

We thought we would up date you on snickers.  Like we said she would see the country.  Well she's been at the Congress and World Show and gone just about every weekend showing horses.  She is really smart and gorgeous.  Everybody asks about her and the big question when are we going to breed her.  Which we never will.  One for us is enough with being gone all the time.  We've given several people your name and number I hope it has sold some dogs for you.  Snickers has stayed small which were so thankful for.  She loves the horses and hates squirrels.  That is a big game for her.  Thank goodness she can't catch them.  If she did she would want to play with them.  We love her and enjoy her so much.  I'm attaching a picture of her. It's not the best but it gives you some idea of what she looks like.  We have some friends looking for a dog.  Do you have any red puppies? How old and what sex are they?

Thanks again for selling us Snickers.

Hi Julie and all at Fairview!!

March, 2004

Hi Jeanne and everyone at Fairview!!

We purchased a puppy from you about 3 (going on 4 already!!!) years ago.  I wanted to let you know how she has been doing!  We named her "Dakota", and she is such a sweetie.  She keeps our two older Corgis (Jordie and Becky) active!!!  Dakota has been a wonderful addition to our family.  She has just the right mix of Corgi mischieviousness (is that a word?) and sweet.

When we are ready to add another "fur person" to our home, we will be calling on you again!!!!

Sincerely,
Kim

Hi Julie!

I thought that you might like to see a fairly recent picture of Fletcher with Dakota and Tuffy.  He is so much fun!, a REAL Snuggler!!!  If you ever get a picture of his mom, I would like to see it.

Hope to get more pictures soon!

Dear Jeanne and Darrel:

Thank you so much for selecting Samantha out of Gretchen's litter for us. She is a wonderful puppy. The girls have nicknamed her "squiggles" due to her hyper-activeness to see us in the morning and after work. In the few days she has been with us she has taken firm control over the household.

Samantha and Frodo (the schnauzer) are now good friends.

The first night was rather traumatic for both puppies and they seem to be adapting well together. They sleep throughout the night which means I sleep throughout the night!

I took Samantha to the vet last Saturday and she passed her exam with flying colors. I have switched her to Pro Plan puppy good as I cannot find Pro Pac locally. She cats very well.
Anyway, wanted to share a photo of our family with you. Give Gretchen a big hug from Samantha.

Dear Darrel & Jeanne:

I am sorry that it has taken me so long to send you the "Lil Joe Update," and pictures.  With my schedule and the holidays coming up, it seems like I haven't time to do anything.  Well the last time I called, which I believe was about 3 weeks prior to this letter, I spoke with your daughter because you guys were out and she asked me if I had see Lil Joe's picture in the 1998 Dogs USA.  From that very day I made it my mission to find that new issue.  I even called Fancy Publications who told me that the book would not go on the shelves in my area until after the 17th of November.

After that date I scoured every pet shop in my area at least every couple of days. This past Sunday I finally found it at a newspaper stand; who would have thought. I must say that he looked absolutely darling and represented your kennel just perfectly. I have decided to up date you by giving you a "Top Ten Joey Like/Dislike" list. Ready, here goes:
1.   Being the biggest THREAT to Big Mac's (my bulldog) toy empire. Joe likes to take all the toys and not share.
2.   Chasing Fluffy the cat all around the house.
3.   Being chased by Fluffy all around the house.
4.   Eating Big Mac's leftover food whether anyone is looking or not.
5.   Eating "poo poo" whether its Big Mac's or his own (we call him the poo poo man) and whether we are looking or not.
6.   Eating his leash while its still attached to him.
7.   Jumping in any puddle of water he can possibly find on our walks.
8.   Sitting on mommy's lap while in the car.
9.   Going to grandma Sandy's house (that's my mom) and playing with Shalone (our Husky who lives with my mom).
10. Sleeping with mommy and daddy (this is very low on the list because we think he likes sleeping in his vari kennel beside the bed better.)

Jeanne,

Thought you might like to see a recent picture of Kirby. He is 4 months old today. He is such a good puppy and is so adorable. We have so much fun with him and take him everywhere we can with us. He loves to be the center of attention. He is very friendly and thinks everyone should pet him. He is also very smart and has already learned several basic commands. Thank you so much for our new family member!
Sincerely,
Renee, Jerry, and Kirby Prew

Hello Jeanne!
I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch. It's been very busy (in a very good way!!) since we've gotten Basil (pronounced bah-zil). It's a British name.  I figured since he's a British dog, he might as well have a British name!
I wanted to drop you a line and send you the  most recent picture of him at (4 months old). He's a darling little puppy!!! We just love him so!!

He attracts attention and receive endless compliments wherever we go.  He is soooo adorable!!!  Also well-behaved!!  He has no problem going in his crate after he plays to take a nap. He had his final series of puppy shots last two Saturdays ago. He's scheduled to be neutered on October 15th. We've been bringing him to the Dog Park in our neighborhood since this past Saturday and the people just adore him!! It's amazing how many people we come in contact with and do not know what a corgi is. We've already met a few who are thinking of getting corgi as a pet!! We'll definitely refer them to you, if that's okay?

Thank you very, very much for this beautiful corgi! We will keep in touch.

Take care.

I'm sending these two recent pictures of Higgins.
As you can see, he is absolutely beautiful, and he has a wonderful personality.  He is very smart - he has already completed Basic Obedience classes.  We are planning on entering him in Agility Training.
We really enjoy him!

Hi Grammy & Grampy!

I wanted to write and tell you I am having a ball & love my friend "Thurman"!  Here's what I look like, and here I am with "Thurm".  Thanks for sending me here!  I am so loved and I love it here!

"Kayla"

Just wanted to send along another picture of Rolo so you can see what a beautiful corgi he's groing in to!  He celebrated his first birthday at a big party for area corgis, so he has a great time getting fed treats and being chased by other corgis!  He loves to fetch and is a very cute swimmer, but he doesn't like it much, and is generally a very cleaver and affectionate dog.

We love him!
